“But Peter followed Him at a distance, right up to the courtyard of the high priest.”
Apostle Peter wanted to see everything that Lord Jesus suffered while staying at a safe distance. We want to receive all the blessings without risking anything by witnessing to others.
The danger of compromising faith and turning away from the Saviour is real for those who are not fully committed. God desires absolute submission, and He will then reward it with His strength and guidance.
A close relationship develops when we are sure of His love, as well as our desire to seek and love Him!
