1 JOHN 3 : 8
“The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.”
Sin opens the door for the forces of evil to have control over our lives and lead us deeper into sinful desires. We cannot overcome this with our own spiritual and mental strength.
Through His sacrifice on the cross, Lord Jesus has broken that control of evil over those who submit to Him. We receive the benefit by seeking forgiveness for the past and guidance for the future.
Through faith in Him, we are set on the strong rock of His Word and protected.
“The stranglehold is destroyed and we receive freedom to live right in our Lord’s presence.”
