“Can a man take fire to his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?”
The passions of the flesh are like a fire that destroys lives. The indwelling Holy Spirit fills us with His power and love to control our senses.
We are in the world, but as children of God, we must live worthy of that. God’s work in saving us from sin and for a new purpose brings new life.
The call from the cross is for all to let go of the fire of sin and be filled with His peace!
