Even to the group that came to arrest Him, our Lord revealed His Divine status, yet willingly surrendered. The moment was a wonderful display of the restrained power of the Creator, Redeemer.
He sought freedom for the disciples to save them from suffering. God is love, and that is seen in every situation in His universe.
God became man to suffer Himself and free us from our trials from evil surrounding us.
