MATTHEW 6 : 11
“Give us this day our daily bread.”
This is seeking God daily for the fulfilment of our everyday needs. It is asking for neither too much lest we forget Him nor be in poverty and suffer or steal from others.
This prayer reflects our absolute trust in the Lord to be with us to provide and not abandon us. There is neither desperation nor fear but surety in His love and care.
God, who created a mother to care for her child, is much more dependable to keep His loving eye on us, His children!
“Sure of our close relationship with God, we seek daily provisions, with no hoarding.”
