MATTHEW 27 : 45
“From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land.”
Prophet Amos’ prophecy of great judgement and tragedy was fulfilled on the day of the crucifixion of the Lord. From the time of mid-day sacrifice in the Temple to the time of evening sacrifice, darkness covered it all.
The deep darkness of sin and evil of all humanity was placed on the Saviour, who became sin for us. We receive His light and new life in exchange.
God suffered to lead us into eternal life in His glorious presence through faith in His completed work on the cross!
