LUKE 6 : 5
“And He said to them, ‘The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath’.”
Sabbath was instituted by God as a day to get close to Him and rest from the works. God became Man and freed us from slavery to sin and self-effort to reach Him.
From mere ritualism, He leads us to follow and worship in ‘spirit and truth’. With the indwelling Holy Spirit we exhibit His love in action in and through us.
His finished work on the cross leads to forgiveness and reconciliation to God, with our burdens removed forever!
