“Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?”
The Church being the body of Christ, any affliction on it affects our Lord directly. Repetition of the name shows the urgency and importance of the call.
A touch of the light of God’s glory can redeem and transform the worst sinner, the persecutor, into an apostle and a blessing to others. We pray that our opponents are thus changed.
We rejoice that our pain and sufferings are not hidden from Him, and He will intervene at His right time!
