1 THESSALONIANS 5 : 9
“God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
God’s judgement is not for the believer, for His Son suffered in our place. In Him we pass the test to be led to eternal life in His presence in heaven.
Works and self-effort are judged, but faith is rewarded, for Lord Jesus carried the weight of our sins on Himself. Our belief in Him places us in a specific state of being in God’s presence.
We rejoice, and it is reflected in our good deeds as worship of God!
