“Simon Peter answered Him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the Words of eternal life’. “
On behalf of all, Apostle Peter accepted the Lord Jesus as the Master and the one and only alternative despite difficulties. They preferred the spiritual over the material and earthly things.
Knowing the Lord is more precious than our awareness of our sins. He alone is the Judge who Himself paid the penalty to set us free from our bondage to sin.
Clinging to Him and getting closer through meditating on His Word fills us with light. Turning away is to fall back into the pit of evil and darkness.
He reaches out, but we need to grasp His hand!
