“All who have this hope in Him purify themselves, just as He is pure.”
Our hope of salvation and eternal life is in the Lord Jesus, and it is a continuous journey of change from within. We still sin, but we do not continue to live in it; we turn to Him in repentance.
Our destiny is to be with Him in heaven, and this motivates us to keep trying to be like Him. We aim to live morally straight, free from the grip and control of sin and the devil.
God helps us in our efforts, but we must also stay committed to retaining purity of thoughts, desires, and actions in our daily living!
