EXODUS 20 : 12
“Honour your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.”
Parents link children to God above and others here, teaching them the right way to live. Obedience and respect must be given in childhood and later years equally.
We honour God in this manner and are blessed with success and a long life. This obedience is not for evil but for good works in love and compassion.
God must come first, followed by respect and care for parents, in order to live rightly!
