EPHESIANS 5 : 21
“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”
The Saviour Lord prayed for unity among His followers, and the way to this is by placing others’ interests above our own. We submit to each other in love and compassion.
It is not about accepting contempt, but rather about being imitators of the Lord who submitted to His parents. The washing of the disciples’ feet was to prepare them for their future spiritual walk and submission to each other.
We all, as part of God’s family, are equal and must live in this manner!
