LUKE 1 : 46 – 47
“And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour’.”
Mary, the blessed mother of our Lord, was a woman of the Word and praised God. She recognized that she also needed a Saviour and rejoiced in His expected coming.
Mary did not take pride in her privileged status but humbled herself in submission to God’s will. Every believer must follow her example of shunning pride and self-congratulation.
The tree that bears much fruit lowers itself to bless others!
