“You will be like GOD”
The devil told this to Eve to tempt her to eat of the Tree of knowledge of good and evil. This is so ingrained in humanity that everyone desires to control his destiny and also of others.
God created us in His image and likeness and we draw our sustenance from Him by submitting to His will for us. When He becomes the Lord of our life, we reflect His glory and become a channel for others to receive the same.
