The Hebrew word ‘neshama‘ means the Divine spark or light from God in a living being. It means all blessed by the Lord who are able to think and understand.
Life received from Him must return praise to Him as an expression of gratitude. With this, God gains nothing from us, but we are made ready to receive more.
The call to praise is for all and repeated twice for emphasis. Without praise, we will be counted as dead who need nothing more.
Be alive to the Divine presence and provisions of God by praising Him!
