“From then on Judas (Iscariot) watched for an opportunity to hand Him over.”
The disciples believed that the Son of God will overthrow the Roman Empire and set up His kingdom. Judas’s dreams were shattered to learn about the spiritual kingdom only at that time.
He betrayed the Lord for money, but His teachings affected his soul to repentance. Many today also turn to the Saviour Lord for worldly gains and turn away later.
The earthly life is short, but the real reward that we should seek is everlasting life!
