Isaiah 60 : 1
“Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”
Lord Jesus is the light of the world, and He fills us with His light. The call is for those who are dead.
First, those who are spiritually dead: God calls them to rise from the sleep of eternal death and receive the light of Christ.
Second, believers who are asleep: This is the group that concerns you and me. When we, as God’s light, are hindered from shining, we need to arise and shine.
Get rid of the chains and reach out to light up the souls of others!
