“You must not worship the LORD your God in their way.”
The Israelites were prohibited from following the rituals of the earlier residents of the Promised Land in worshipping the Lord.
The detailed procedure of worship in the Old Testament pointed to the ultimate salvation in the sacrifice of Lord Jesus on the cross. We have the indwelling Holy Spirit to guide and teach us to pray and worship the Lord.
To worship God, we must submit to His will.
