“Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
We must expect all our joy in God and seek it in Him. This is a deliberate action to turn from the fleshly pleasures but not away from all responsibilities.
Delight ‘also’ in the LORD is fulfilling all earthly duties with a firm focus on God. Then He becomes our delight and Provider, to limit our desires for His glory.
The more we get to know Him in His Word, the greater is the joy in knowing Him. His presence is then always felt in every situation!
